Adventure
The Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.7
The Hollow Lantern is the kind of game you play with headphones on and the lights low. It's a slow, atmospheric adventure where you tap to move, examine objects, and slowly piece together why the town went quiet. Puzzles are logical and never resort to random pixel-hunting.
The art carries a lot of the mood, all soft fog and warm lantern glow, and it runs beautifully even on older hardware because there's little happening on screen at once. That also means it sips battery, which is great for a game you want to sink into for an hour.
If you like stories over reflexes, this is a treat. It respects your intelligence and never pads itself out. I finished it in three sittings and immediately wanted more.
