Big Bass Drop
Big Bass Drop looks simple on the store page, and in a way it is, but that simplicity is the whole point. You tap to drop your line, hold to let it sink deeper, and release at the right moment to hook whatever's swimming below. The controls are one-thumb friendly, which makes it perfect for playing on a crowded train.
What kept me coming back was the pacing. Each pond has a different mix of fish, and the game slowly teaches you to read the water — where the big ones lurk, how deep to go, when to be patient. There's a lazy, low-stress loop here that I genuinely enjoyed after long days.
Performance is a non-issue. It ran cool and smooth on an old test phone, and the battery barely moved after half an hour. If you want something calm that still asks for a little skill, Big Bass Drop earns its spot.
