Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that doesn't drown you in menus the moment you open it. You build a party of four, each with distinct roles, and the turn-based combat rewards planning without being cruel about it. Encounters are tuned so you can finish one in a coffee break.
The writing surprised me. Side characters actually have arcs, and choices in dialogue sometimes bend later quests in small but noticeable ways. It's not a novel, but it's far above the genre average for phones.
My only gripe is the settings menu, which hides the auto-battle toggle two layers deep. Once you find it, grinding becomes painless. Turn on the reduced-effects option if your phone runs warm — it helped a lot on my mid-range device.
