About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where three friends argued about which games were worth the storage space. Eventually the arguments turned into notes, the notes turned into articles, and here we are. Nobody here works for a studio, and nobody hands us a review script.

Every game we cover gets installed on at least two phones — one older mid-range device and one newer flagship — so we can talk honestly about performance and heat. We play for hours before writing a word, because first impressions and hour-ten impressions are rarely the same.

We pick titles based on what people are actually downloading and what our readers ask about. Genre variety matters to us: puzzles, RPGs, racing, strategy, everything gets a fair shot. If a game bores us by day two, we say so.

The goal is simple. Save you the download when a game isn't worth it, and point you toward the ones that quietly earn a place on your home screen.
